Long before he was tour manager for The Rolling Stones and The Grateful Dead, Boomer Sam Cutler was a proponent of non-violent, direct action against the threat of nuclear weapons.
Tune into this fascinating episode where Sam describes how he was water cannoned off a submarine and thrown into prison with a murderer as a cell-mate for participation in a protest against nuclear weapons. Sam also recalls how he was the personal 'bodyguard' to the famous writer, philosopher and social critic Lord Bertrand Russell, an outspoken proponent of nuclear disarmament.
Sam passed on July 11, 2023 in Brisbane, Australia at the age of 80. He wisely put his experiences into a memoir about being a tour manager with some of the most famous rock bands in history. Thank you Sam for sharing your great stories and for living a big life.
